Lighted Spaces and Landscapes

I was presenting at a conference in Santa Barbara and i was asked if I took this in Santa Barbara. I was pleased to say it was from St. Ignace and that the ferry to Mackinac Island is in the background. Once they found out it was from my home state, they were unimpressed. We had stopped at a rest area and Rob the Hound Dog hopped in the driver’s seat, ready to take over. He loved to ride in the car and the RV was a special treat for him (Beloit, Wisconsin, 2004)

While I was out on my “Dam Tour” I was near Death Valley. Although this is an iconic sign the real magic in the image was the amount of vegetation (and flowers). There had been a lot of rain that year. (Death Valley, California, 2005)
