I’ve actually never seen the thing I love most about this building. If you are flying into Milwaukee going from north to south along the lake shore, look closely and you will see the sign on this roof that says “Welcome To Cleveland.” This clever prank was completed by Mark Gubin almost 50 years ago…

I was doing a lot of field work in the western suburbs of Phoenix. I came across a number of good signs and interesting spots. This sign was one of my favorites. (Goodyear, Arizona, 2005)

There is a supper club that overlooks the Lake that is one of my favorite places to dine. It feels like I’ve stepped back into the 1960s (minus the cloud of cigarette smoke). This sign is at the end of their parking lot. It makes me think that that there must have been a problem…
