Kathleen actually took this one when she was visiting her parents in Florida. I have an appreciation for the dangers involved.

There was actually a second photo because I wanted to be on a local grocery store’s website. They had a map of all the places their red bag had been brought to (https://www.sendiks.com/about-us/where-in-the-world-2). I took a few while I was in Doha, but I used the one from this space. This is the tasteful photo without the bag. You can see the other one on the website. (Doha, Qatar 2016)

I had a standing policy to not have class outdoors for lots of reasons. I broke that rule one very warm April afternoon when the heat came on at full steam in my classroom. Ironically this was the day the campus photographer was out and about and caught me. (Kenosha, Wisconsin 2002)

This was one of the last harvests before my mother sold the farm. The big rolls of straw await pickup (Ann Arbor, Michigan, 1990)

Cone Flowers in our own garden. (Whitefish Bay, WI, 2008)

It was a breathtaking day at the Butchart Garden. The array of iris is just a sample. (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada 2012)

Granada is one of the oldest cities in the Americas and was established over 500 years ago. The Cathedral is one of the centerpieces of the city. This was before the interior was repainted yellow. (Granada, Nicaragua 2004)

The sign actually guides hikers to protect the local ecosystem. It did strike me as odd given the wide open surroundings. It also seems like sometimes we need to step off the designated walkway in life. (Arizona, 1998)

Faro del Castillo San Felipe del Morro is the lighthouse at the entrance to San Juan Harbor. It was rebuilt in 1908 and is one of the most prominent sites at El Morro. (San Juan Antiguo, Puerto Rico, 2003)
