When I was doing work on “Water and the West,” a colleague and I traveled down the Owens River Valley following the Los Angeles Aqueduct. Here the aqueduct runs above and alongside a housing development. (California, 2005)

There was actually a second photo because I wanted to be on a local grocery store’s website. They had a map of all the places their red bag had been brought to (https://www.sendiks.com/about-us/where-in-the-world-2). I took a few while I was in Doha, but I used the one from this space. I got invited by a colleague on a trip to measure snowfall in the Arizona mountains. On the way home, we flew over Sedona near sunset. (Sedona, Arizona 2005)

Even though I know the monument is geographically “off” I couldn’t help but put Rob the Hound Dog in all 4 states. As always, he was a good sport. (4 Corners, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, 2005)
