It was just 40 years ago today on a sunny Saturday afternoon that Kathleen and I were married here. St. Patrick’s was the first English speaking parish on the south side of Milwaukee. This building has been on the corner of 7th and Washington since 1893. (Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 2023)

One of my favorite things on the landscape are the “Little Free Libraries.” They are especially nice when they reflect something interesting about place or the the people who operate them. This one is in front of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. (Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 2025)
