Lighted Spaces and Landscapes

I was back in Columbus for a conference and I had to sneak into the classroom I took statistics in. It was memorable for a number of reasons (the instructor was a doppelgänger for Jim from the show Taxi), but I remember that because the classroom was oval I could hear my classmates whispering across the room and sometimes the instructor’s voice sounded like he was behind me.
